2025 has seen the return of Pekingology. The anti-corruption drive that began in the early days of the Xi presidency continues in the form of purges of high-level PLA and CCP officials. This project will build data visualization and analysis tools to enable CCP leadership analysis, not to simply overfit an algorithm that “explains” factionalism and power dynamics in the Party, but to accelerate and enhance the analytical art of studying Chinese leadership.
